The Silver Jackets was formed to provide retirees with a way to stay in touch with colleagues and connect with the Georgia Tech community.
Note: Due to the Covid-19 situation, the April and May Silver Jackets meeting were cancelled. The September meeting was held as a Zoom meeting/presentation, and we plan to hold the October and November meetings as Zoom meetings. For meetings in 2021, we currently will plan on Zoom meetings until the Covid-19 situation would not be an issue for our members.
Meetings begin at 10:30 am with a Social Time and the Program presentation begins at 11:00 am on the second Tuesday of each month from January to May and from September to December. Minutes are available in the About Us/Minutes portion of the website.
In addition to meetings, special interest groups are being formed for a book club and special volunteer activities. There are also opportunities within the Silver Jackets, such as serving on one of our committees–website, Benefits, Events and Programs.
